Ammo Jetty night dive
Ammunition Jetty Night Dive
Wednesday 8 October 2025
Ammo Jetty was calling, so off we went with some usual faces and some new ones! Including our first-time night diver Claire and a Sidemount diver who didn’t realise quite how far the walk in was..
With cool waters and low-average visibility, Ammo still delivered on all the usual sights: plenty of life; crabs, seahorses, occys and cuttlefish, lots of lost fishing gear which we helped to remove; line, hooks, rods, a table and some chairs and there was also a very special visit from a number of juvenile Port Jackson sharks with at least 3 unique individuals spotted!!
We also had a couple of divers venture off the end of the jetty, right into a longshore current that swept them quite a ways up the beach! Luckily they stayed calm and safely swam back to shore, but it did mean our poor Sidemount diver had an extra long walk back to the carpark.
All in all it was quite the adventure and we’re all keen to get back out there next week. See you then!
