Egypt Final Day of Diving

Egypt Final Day of Diving

Egypt Diving - Final

18 September 2024

It’s been an amazing week onboard the Mv Blue sailing and diving in the Red Sea out of Marsa Alam.

First couple of days were spent at the Brothers Reef, followed by Dadeleus Reef and Elphinstone.

Dives were in 30 degree very salty water with current in places but largely cool, calm dives.

The group (well most) managed to see, hammerhead Sharks, a Manta Ray, oceanic white tip Shark, Barracuda, Tuna and heaps more.

Conditions were a little windy on most days however the crew managed to keep us all safe, well fed, and very informed on the sites.

We begin our journey home tomorrow with some of us going onto different destinations and adventures.

Egypt Day 7

13 September 2024

Very early start to another amazing day.

Very surreal to be in the Egyptian Valleys of the kings and queens tombs. The day began with a Hot Air Balloon ride over the valley of the kings. Mesmerising hardly does this part of the trip justice.

In the Valley of the kings we entered 3 tomb sites and also as an added extra the tomb of king Tutankhamen where I think most of us felt really humbled.

It was then the girls turn at Queen Hatshepsut where we learnt the lineage of this queen who ruled for 22 years.

Valley of the queens was next where we entered two of the opened tombs that were simply stunning.

This evening we went on a horse and carriage ride through old and new Luxor and Sphinx Avenue which runs between the two main temples we visit tomorrow in Luxor
