Newbies descend on Busselton Jetty Manta Club Dive
Sunday 18 January 2026
Sunday morning and the water around Busselton Jetty was like a mirror.
Fourteen bright shiny new divers met Perth Scuba DM’s Guy and Al on shore to spend the day diving the jetty sculpture trail. And what a day it was!
After a bit of paperwork, and a very long walk, we did two dives, the first inspecting the sculptures around the jetty and the second looking for life under the jetty.
We found cuttlefish, octopus, huge schools of fish, puffers and all manner of things.
Every one of our divers was new to the sport, with either less than ten dives logged or fresh out of their open water course and they all did great!
Special thanks Ben, our shore support for the day, and Alison at Perth Scuba who organised this fabulous event!
