Woodman Point Manta Club Night Dive
Woodman Point Manta Club Night Dive
Wednesday 25 February 2026
A huge thank you to everyone who joined the Perth Scuba Manta Club night dive at Woodman Point Fishing Spot. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and to welcome a few new members to the group.
As dusk settled and we gathered at the site, the excitement steadily built. There’s always something special about preparing for a night dive together, with gear and torch checks, glow sticks, and that shared buzz of anticipation as the sun slips below the horizon.
By the time we were geared up and had completed the dive briefing, we were treated to an incredible sunset. Entry conditions were calm, with impressive visibility of around 10 metres. Underwater, the site truly came to life. Nocturnal creatures emerged, subtle movement stirred the sand, and there were plenty of marine highlights for those carefully scanning with their lights. It is always remarkable how a familiar dive site transforms after dark.
We were fortunate to enjoy favourable conditions throughout the dive. Back on shore, there were plenty of smiles, animated conversations, and shared stories about the evening’s highlights, including multiple octopus, an abundance of cuttlefish, and even a bobtail squid. I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s photos.
Thank you again to everyone who joined and made the evening such a success. Your enthusiasm, sense of adventure, and community spirit are what make these Manta Club dives so memorable. I’m looking forward to the next one already.
