Sixteen winter divers join our Manta Club night dive
We were expecting our usual small but mighty winter crew… but SIXTEEN divers showed up for our latest club night dive! 🎉

The best weather all week meant we were finally able to take the club out of the river and head down to Port Beach in search of the wonderful weedy sea dragons!!
So on another awesome winter day, and weather bureau forecasting worsening conditions, six hardy souls headed of to The Coombe. With visibility down to about 1-2m and a bit of a current, conditions were a bit challenging and more like a night dive.
It thundered down last night, but the river was like glass. Three intrepid souls turned up to last nights club dive at Bicton Baths and went in search of prawns of all things. A couple of others (hi Brooke and Ethan!) dropped by for a chat but decided it was just too cold.
Sunday morning was expected to be the calm before the storm…and with 20m viz reported at the wreck trail, we decided it was worth the risk.
