First Sunday manta club dive of 2023 brought 22 divers keen on getting back in the water. After sausage sizzle getting gear and brief we headed to bulk jetty.
Weather was great, vis less than average, life plentiful. Including Stingray, moray eel, Seahorses, leather jacket, snapper, crabs and more. Another great morning under the waves.
Once again, a big turnout for our midweek dive. The sea was a bit rough and there was a discussion about diving the far side of Bathers Beach, which was more sheltered. In the half hour during the discussion, the waves died down so we decided to go in as planned. It was still a bit surgey but we managed to get a good dive regardless. Bathers Beach is really an understated dive site. Critters seen were a giant Australian cuttlefish, squid, octopus, crays, schools of bream and whiting, and a huge mulloway. Manta Club dive at Robb Jetty – great visibility and plenty of marine life
Once again, a wonderful group of divers joined us for our Wednesday night dive at Ammo Jetty. It was nice to see some familiar faces and a few new ones.
