Bathers Beach night dive

Bathers Beach night dive

Bathers Beach night dive

Wednesday 28 December 2022

Once again, a big turnout for our midweek dive. The sea was a bit rough and there was a discussion about diving the far side of Bathers Beach, which was more sheltered. In the half hour during the discussion, the waves died down so we decided to go in as planned. It was still a bit surgey but we managed to get a good dive regardless. Bathers Beach is really an understated dive site. Critters seen were a giant Australian cuttlefish, squid, octopus, crays, schools of bream and whiting, and a huge mulloway. Come and join us on a night dive soon!

Once again, a wonderful group of divers joined us for our Wednesday night dive at Ammo Jetty. It was nice to see some familiar faces and a few new ones.

The water was a bit choppy upon entry, but as soon as we dropped down it was pretty calm. The vis was surprisingly good, around 5m.
It is always exciting to dive Ammo Jetty, known for its excellent macro subjects. Tonight did not disappoint as we saw lots of nudis, a large baler shell, seahorses, occys, old wives, fan bellied leatherjackets, cowfish, a lone globe fish, squid, schools of tarwhine and bream, and 3 delightful Port Jackson sharks; who followed us around like puppies.
After the dive, some of us stayed back in the carpark and chatted about the dive
It is always lovely to be in the company of like minded people who share the love of the ocean and its inhabitants. We look forward to welcoming you on another night dive every Wednesday.

North Mole Club Dive

Sunday 4 December 2022

Was a glorious Sunday morning at North mole , which brought out 34 divers keen on having a dive . With Christine and DMT- D  Arlo taking control of shore support everyone successfully navigated the climb down into the water and back out . Visibility was pretty bad only about 2m and not a lot of life around ,but everyone had a good dive and found the wreck . Mainly due to Callum putting a marker buoy on wreck , thanks Callum . Highlight was the team effort of everyone helping each other out and back up the rocks . Thank you all for coming and all helping out .

Keep diving! 👌
