Do you know that PADI Course Director level represents only 1% of dive professionals in the world!
A fact not lost on my on my recent Course Director Training Course (CDTC) in Phuket Thailand.
As a PADI Dive professional for 20 years I have been lucky enough to work and travel the world teaching diving.
From learning to dive in 1984 I would never thought my journey in diving would result in being one of the 1% in the world !
Being asked to come to Perth Scuba in 2005 and leave my diving business in southern Spain was a major decision at the time.
I have to say my development as a dive professional has been in a large part been influenced by Lee (you'll be right) Johnson.
Of course Perth Scuba has always been a big part of my life and now I am very proud to represent Perth Scuba as a PADI COURSE DIRECTOR.
The CDTC was 7 days of professional development involving open water, confined water, rescue and classroom presentations. An Instructor Development Course (IDC) on steroids!!
Extremely long hours of preparation and long days of actual presentations to Course Director standards.
It's all about the challenge, so if you are reading this with interest and want to develop into a PADI Dive professional get onto an IDC with me at Perth Scuba.
I am looking forward to working with present and future Dive Instructors in Perth Scuba and developing Perth Scuba the number 1 CDC in Australia!!
See you all in the shop and the next Go Pro night!!
