Manta Club Dive at Blackwall Reach
Manta Club Dive at Blackwall Reach
Sunday 6 July 2025
Well, they forecast wild and woolly conditions and that’s what we got. It’s was windy and choppy on the river when we arrived at Blackwall Reach and the tide had covered the jetty. Nevertheless our intrepid Manta Club divers took the plunge to find…. good visibility! Wrecks were located, fish were spotted, including some particularly nice tasseled leatherjackets.
Meanwhile, shore crew were grinding coffee beans in a high wind for a much needed brew after divers surfaced back into wet and wintery conditions.
Thanks to all who braved the cold this Sunday. We are promised calmer weather this Wednesday, so keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post!
