Manta Club dive at Robb Jetty
Manta Club dive at Robb Jetty – great visibility and plenty of marine life
Sunday 18 December 2022
This Sunday morning was excellent, with no wind and perfect 27C in the air, and near 22C in the water at Robb Jetty. At the pre-dive barbeque, tasty sausages were quite popular with divers of all certification levels, all 14 of them, from OW all the way to the Trimix Certified technical divers.
14 divers made it to the secluded carpark in Robb Road, from where a medium-range walk across the dunes brought us to this iconic Perth dive site – most will agree that Robb Jetty is an outstanding diving destination whenever the swells stay low for a few days in a row.
We quickly met with the underwater “owners” of this submerged jetty: a large school of Trevallies and smaller schools of Snapper and Stripeys, and many of the dive crew saw an Octopus or two.
The visibility was 6-7 meters. Plenty of corals were seen, including Brain Corals (the ones only seen here and at Woodmans Point).
Everybody enjoyed visiting this dive site. Thanks to all divers for coming to this Manta Club dive! See you on next club dives soon.
