It’s not often the conditions are calm enough for Omeo…
But Wednesday was the night!
Twenty divers, including five or six new members, arrived to gear up and make the climb down the big bridge to the water.
Omeo is a special site. There’s the wreck itself, a number of artificial habitats, and a rock wall that hosts one of the largest collections of bioluminescent corals in the area.
Night is always a great time for marine life, and Wednesday was no exception. Octopus, squid, cuttlefish, rays and more were spotted. No doubt photos will start appearing on the page as soon as everyone gets a chance to download them.
A great night all around. Summer isn’t over yet — there are plenty more dives to come.
