Rockingham Wreck Trail Delivers Incredible Visibility Despite Winter Weather
The gloomy weather looked like we would be in the river, and the rain in the morning suggested we wouldn’t have many takers anyway.
Then ten divers turned up, four of them new to the club and one of them reporting that Rockingham waters were dead flat.
So we revised our plans and, after breakfast, briefed for Rockingham Wreck trail. Despite the heavens opening again, the reports were accurate, the water was indeed calm. Better still, the visibility was uncharacteristically remarkable, with the wrecks being clearly visible. Sighting of the day was a big Boarfish, down near old timer.
An excellent recovery of a dive day, despite the chilly conditions.
