Woodman Point club night dive
Woodman Point club night dive
Wednesday 11 January 2023
Another great turnout tonight with 14 divers keen to check out Woodman Point. It was a balmy night with a stunning sunset and we all stood in the beach admiring the red ball sinking below the horizon. It was blowing a strong southwesterly wind but the northern side of the Groyne is fairly protected. By the time we kitted up and made our way to the water, the winds had died down quite a bit. This was the first night dive for 5 divers and the ocean worked its magic.
Despite the visibility not being the best, there was still heaps to see. Our divers saw seahorses, Port Jackson sharks, a ball of juvenile ribbon catfish, cuttlefish, squid, octopus, tons of crabs and a few lucky ones saw a big moray eel in one of the caves. This dive site is a gem and all were keen to return soon. Looking forward to our next Perth Scuba club dive, everyone is welcome!
