Manta Club Dive | Sue's Groyne
Sunday 26 July 2026
According to Huey's (wind god) forecast, we were in for a south-westerly of 22 knots and a 2.5 m swell for this morning's Perth Scuba Manta Club dive !
Sounds like the kind of forecast that sends most divers back to bed… but not these six keen legends !
After enjoying a sausage sizzle at PS HQ's (fuel of champions) we headed to Sue's Groyne (North Coogee Wall). We were stoked to see just a 0.5 m swell for both our entry and exit - perfect !
Underwater, the visibility wasn't too bad, although a little milky in places. We were treated to sightings of cuttlefish, occies, plenty of fish including juvenile catfish and nudibranchs doing their slow-motion moves. Colourful soft corals and sponges were abundant, making for a beautiful dive despite the less-than-promising forecast.
Cheers to Mark and Hugo for providing shore support.
Your help was greatly appreciated !
Safe diving and happy bubbles!
