Mermaid II Komodo Liveaboard Dive Report | Day 3 Adventures
Day 3 – Komodo Luxury Liveaboard Experience | 09/06/26 🌊✨
Some days remind you exactly why Komodo sits at the top of every diver’s bucket list… today was one of those days.
We even spotted a devil scorpion fish during our fourth dive—perfectly camouflaged and absolutely mesmerizing to watch.
Dive 1 – Batu Moncho
We rolled in just as the sun began to rise—perfect timing. The reef lit up like a private underwater gallery, with 50m+ visibility and marine life in every direction. Think: turtles cruising by, eagle rays gliding effortlessly, and entire clouds of blue chromis dancing over pristine coral. The gorgeous white soft sand made the light reflect beautifully, brightening up the corals even more.
Honestly… it felt less like a dive, more like front-row seats to nature’s best show.
Dive 2 – Crystal Rock
Crystal Rock delivered in style. With a comfortable 35m visibility and unusually calm conditions (yes, we got lucky 😏), the reef came alive. Cleaning stations were in full swing, and just when we thought it couldn’t get better—giant trevallies cruised past during our safety stop like they owned the place.
(They probably do.)
Dive 3 – Batu Bolong
World-class for a reason. Batu Bolong never misses.
The dramatic underwater topography, thriving reef walls, and ridiculously relaxed turtles (seriously… they pose better than some people 🤭📸) made this dive unforgettable.
A bit of current kept things exciting—just enough to remind us we’re in Komodo—but the reward? Non-stop marine action from start to finish.
Dive 4 – Night Dive | Wainilu
And then… we slow things down.
Macro lovers, this is your paradise. Dark sands, hidden treasures, and yes—Pikachu nudibranchs ⚡️ made their appearance. Frogfish, critters, and all the tiny details you miss during the day came out to play.
A completely different world… and just as captivating.
We wrapped it all up the only way a proper liveaboard should—
Hot Milo, good laughs, and that “we don’t want this trip to end” feeling 🔥☕️
If this is Day 3… you can imagine what the rest of the trip looks like 😉
*Komodo isn’t just diving. It’s an experience.
